alison milne
After years of working in corporate sales, Alison Milne realized that what she really wanted to do was design; anything and everything that has to do with interior space. She went to school, picked up an internship with a design firm in Toronto, which turned into a full-time job and then started her own company, Alison Milne Design.
It’s more of that same passion that drives Alison to create environments and objects of originality, beauty and purpose. Her goal is to encourage a healthy and comfortable lifestyle starting with the space that you inhabit daily. Her methods for achieving this goal can be seen at every level of her process. She believes strongly in supporting local talent, in sustainability in design and in forming a connection with our landscape.
Alison seeks to define interiors and furniture by the perfect ratio of positive to negative space. She looks to natural processes and materials for inspiration, greatly influenced by Toronto’s urban utopia. She is currently studying to complete the LEED Green Building for Commercial Interiors certification program.
Alison has a degree in Economics from Wilfred Laurier University. She lives in the west end of Toronto, Canada.
