Sometimes, all that you need to transform an entire room is a little paint and a piece of art!

A last minute addition made to a clients kitchen this week, we love the lines of the Hee stool by UK based company Hay. Available in Toronto through Klaus Nienkamper these counter stools not only have great visual lines but they are comfortable, stackable and available in three different seat heights.

A clients reading nook that I could have spent all day in with all that fall sunshine! We created custom designed chairs and a storage ottoman for kids books with a removable top that becomes two floor seat cushions.
I don’t normally like to show before and after pictures of our work, but these need to be shared! A downtown Toronto loft that was transformed to allow for the client to not only enjoy a more modern kitchen but to have functional space for his busy lifestyle.

Working away to get the studio / gallery ready for our next exhibit featuring the work of artist George Whiteside. Invites coming on Monday!

Being in Bobcaygeon a few weekends ago gave me a whole new appreciation for the colour blue. This cottage was done with a dark grey siding, white trim detail and powder blue accents. The combination of these colours with natures own; green, brown and stone creates a soothing yet crisp curb appeal.

The last six months have been filled with some fantastic projects for the AMD team. We will be shooting our favourite spaces over the next few weeks and can’t wait to share them with you! Below are a few pictures of a home in the beach that we are just wrapping up….check back soon!

The Alison Milne Design team slipped off their pumps and into their steel toe boots for a day of building in the workshop. Thanks to the team at the shop for taking the time to help us out with our project and teaching us more about the construction process. I am pleased to say we still have all of our limbs.

There is nothing like a beautiful white backdrop to accentuate spring colours. These pics are were taken this morning at one of the projects that we are working on. By simply changing the light fixture, replacing the house numbers (custom coloured and mounted on ambrosia maple), and planting some pink tulips the home comes alive with a new face for Spring!
